Guild JF55 Acoustic Electric Guitar
The Guild JF55 Acoustic Electric Guitar is a real pleasure to play. The Guild company has been famous for years for the quality, beauty and sound creation abilities of its guitars. This particular Guild is no exception. Presented by the company as a jumble body model, the guitar itself comes with all of the bells and whistles for which Guild has rightfully become famous.
The body of the guitar is constructed of high quality and exotic rosewood along the back and sides with a top-notch Sitka spruce top that sits attractively, exhibiting its nicely designed sound hole with casual elegance. Top quality materials abound throughout the guitar and include abalone and a nice dash of pearl. Many guitar players appreciate this instrument for its sound, which can be quite something.
For some players, the sound will resemble something that's big, booming and full of bass. Other players don't think of the sound in that way, though, and they seem to feel that it projects symphony like sound within extreme ranges of sustain. Additionally, guitar players appreciate the fine action on the neck and fretboard, which comes in at a super low 1/8 of an inch.
This means that it will be very easy to maneuver one's fingers on the fretboard, going from note to note or chord to chord with equal ease, all while not having to put up with any annoying low end buzz or echo. Any Guild guitar will deliver long-lasting capabilities and this one is no exception. Plus, it will usually come with a serious hard shell case to protect it from the elements.
Depending on the strings that are put on the guitar, one can play live gigs that will be truly memorable or feature the guitars acoustic qualities in a more intimate setting that takes advantage of the interaction of the woods and the setup involving the neck, fretboard, the high-quality Guild machine heads and the guitar's extremely nice bridge.
Jumble body guitars are famous for the ability that it brings to the guitar when strings are plucked, and it will be very easy to play music that is sure to cut through all the noise and chatter or background interference that will commonly be present at many gigs. Guild is one of the better makers of jumble bodies and this particular model is one of its better jumbo style instruments.
All of the mechanicals are present in the Guild JF55 Acoustic Electric Guitar and it's a sure bet that a quality used version of this model, as well made and well equipped as it is, will not be cheap. Such guitars, as they age, tend to develop even better sound characteristics and that's why they might run a bit more than people would realize. But for a Guild of this quality the money will be well worth it.
